The new album entitled "Ama Namin: Mga Himig-Misa" encompasses the whole range of liturgical songs from 'Papuri' to 'Ama Namin' with each given a fresh approach. Memorable are the new melodies given toPsalm 23 (The Lord is My Shepherd) and Psalm 25 (Love and Truth). Marian devotees cannot but be touched by the hauntingly beautiful song 'Inang Maria', a homage to the Blessed Mother. Other memorable songs are 'Everytime', an offertory song, 'Thy House', 'I WillFollow', and 'Keep the Faith Alive'. All the songs were arranged by PPF Musical Director Eric Oracion.

From the time it was founded more than three decades ago, the PPF Choir has evolved into one of the most dynamic and versatile choirs in the whole country today, active in concerts, musical plays and fund-raising activities for the GSParish. This depth of experience and total commitment is reflected in the richness and variety of their musical compositions. The expressiveness and passion with which they sing their songs can only partly be explained by the fact that most of the Choir's members are excellent solo singers; a more inspiring reason is the commitment they have pledged to God and to their community. Interestingly, the PPF Choir was born during one ofthe darkest nights of Philippine history, September 21, 1972, eve of the Martial Law declaration. That the PPF has survived, not only thedictatorship period, but other lesser bumps along the way is explained by its members as clearly the work of Divine Providence. With the very supportive Monsignor Romulo Ranada, their Spiritual Director, cheering them on along the way, the PPF looks forward tomore CDs, more musical presentations, and more productive years ahead.

Ama Namin: Mga Himig Misa was launched on November 6, 2004 at the Pastoral Center of the Cathedral Shrine of the GoodShepherd, Regalado Avenue, Fairview Subdivision, Quezon City. The CD is available in all SM Department Store Record Bars and Odessey Records.

<img width='1' height='1'
